The terms for using London Picks: what the lists are, how picks are made, business listings and paid plans, acceptable use and liability.
These terms
They cover every visit to London Picks (londonpicks.uk), a free guide to London businesses. If you carry on using the site, you are accepting them.
What the lists are
A shortcut to a few sound options, nothing more. Nothing on London Picks is professional advice, and a pick is no promise about quality, price or suitability. Whatever you arrange, you arrange with the business itself.
How picks are made
We start from what is publicly known about a business (its star rating and review count, the services it offers, its location, opening times, phone number and photos) and add our editorial judgement. Third-party ratings move up and down.
Keeping things accurate
Each list is looked at again from time to time, though a detail may go stale between visits. A quick call before you travel or book is wise.
Businesses, listings and paid plans
Claiming a listing in ‘For businesses’ costs nothing, and owners can then keep it correct. Pro and Top are optional subscriptions handled by Stripe: you see the price and renewal details before paying, and Top places show a label. Owner edits that are wrong or go against these terms may be changed back.
Acceptable use
Please don’t use London Picks unlawfully, harvest it with bots, poke at parts of the site that aren’t public, pass yourself off as another person or business, or feed us false details.
Intellectual property
Our writing, our choice of businesses and their order, the site’s design and the London Picks brand belong to us or to those who license them to us. A short quotation with a link is fine; anything more substantial needs our say-so.
Liability
We work hard on accuracy, but no guide of this size can be perfect at all times, and listed businesses alone answer for their goods and services. Your statutory rights are unaffected. These terms can change, and the wording on this page is what applies. Questions: info@londonpicks.uk.
