About London Picks
London Picks is an independent guide with short lists of London businesses, picked from the point of view of the person who needs them.
Finding a business in London takes seconds; finding one you trust can eat an evening. London Picks exists to give that evening back. We pick a few good options for each need and tell you where they are.
What you’ll find
Lists for the things Londoners actually go looking for: locksmiths, endocrinologists, shoe repairs, interior designers, budget hotels for visiting family, cake shops and dog groomers, among many others. The range grows week after week.
Picked from your side
We imagine the reader before we pick: a tenant whose landlord wants three quotes, a commuter who can only make a Saturday appointment, someone who has just moved to Hackney and doesn’t know a soul.
Who it’s for
Londoners settling into a new flat or a new area, people who have just arrived for work or study, and visitors who want somewhere reliable near where they are staying.
How the site pays its way
London Picks has no advertising. Being picked is free and cannot be bought. A business already on a list may buy Pro or Top; the page then says so with a label, and nobody else moves.
